Details have been announced as Michael gears up for his month of Wednesdays at the Bootleg Bar in Los Angeles.  He will be playing songs from his upcoming release "Spilling A Rainbow."  Friends will be playing sets including Nik Freitas on 8/1, Daedelus 8/8, Lavender Diamond 8/15, Snowblink 8/22, Alam Khan and Salar Nadir 8/29.  Each week he'll include different collaborators supported by his backing band Joe Kennedy (Ariel Pink,) Amir Yaghmai (Feist, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Daedelus,) Mike Green (Belle Brigade,) and Keith Karman (Belle Brigade.)

Today, Nowness.com is debuting the a new video for Michael Andrew's single “Bubbles in Space.”  It is a fun-filled voyage through the mind of a teenager. Directed by Josh Hassin and coordinated by artist and teacher, Jeremy Farson, the video is comprised of thousands of drawings created entirely by hundreds of students from San Diego's High Tech High International’s class of 2013.

The Entrance Band will be headlining this Friday at Pappy & Harriets out in the desert where music like this should be heard.  This is a Folkyeah! gig and also includes CB Brand, Light Fantastic, and Matt Baldwin.  Bring a sleeping bag.

Sezio has announced a revival of the Golden Hill Street Fair in San Diego on July 22th.   Jeans Wilder will be playing live at 1pm.  Other acts include The Donkeys, Cuckoo Chaos, The Tree Ring, Little Deadman and Family Wagon.  There will be lots of fairy type things such as art and live screen printing with by compliments of Stone Brewing Co and food from the various local restaurants.  It's on Sunday the 22nd from 11am to 6pm on 25th Street between B and C. FYF Festival announced their 2012 lineup today.  The Growlers will be playing as part of the weekend extravaganza taking place Spetember 1st and 2nd in downtown LA.  Tickets for the weekend are $77 and go on sale Friday so set your alarm clocks.  For more info go to their website

The Entrance Band will be selling their new ep FINE FLOW at their residency this August at the Satellite.  The album doesn't officially come out until September courtesy of Spiritual Pajamas and is limited edition and vinyl only.  A new album is in the can as well but release plans and dates are still being finalized.  Stay tuned.

Celebrating the release of his latest solo effort, Spilling A Rainbow,  Michael Andrews will be performing a weekly Wednesday night residency at the Bootleg Theatre throughout the month of August, titled “Open Mike Andrews.”

Rolling Stone has just premiered the latest track of The Mynabirds forthcoming album, Generals and you can hear it here.  "Bodies of Work" is the second track available until the June 5th album release (on Saddle Creek Records) but the first track, "Generals" has just gone to #1 on FMQB's Alternative Specialty Chart.
